Fabio Capello Career
Sunday, April 20th, 2008The career of former footballer and current coach Fabio Capello is long and illustrious. He made his debut with SPAL in 1964 as a midfielder, later moving to Roma where we won his first trophy, the Italian Cup. He ended his professional playing career in 1980.
From there he spent a few years as a commentator on Italian football before becoming the manager of Milan in 1991. He led his team to victory with four Serie A titles in five years. They were unbeaten for 58 games between 1991 and 1993 under Capello’s leadership.
The Fabio Capello career to this point depicted Capello as a harsh disciplinarian ready to put pressure on any player not pulling his weight. This led to his being hired by Madrid, where his team won the Spanish League title in 1997.

He returned to Milan in 1997, moving from team to team (from Milan to Roma to Juventus, then back to Madrid) between 1997 and 2007) until he settled in England, where he continues to coach today.
